The Black Triangle Silat tribe documents, preserves and studies Sumatra's warrior art of Minangkabau Silek Harimau. The tribe derives from the ancient lineage of the Indonesian Lubuk Ngantungan tribe and the UK Lumpat Harimau Pencak Silat system.

Datuk Guru Scott McQuaid is a 3rd generation Bela Diri Silek Harimau practitioner from the Palero Beringin Sakti Pencak Silat Association. As custodian, he has aided his peers by further deciphering and evolving this Sumatran fighting style into the 21st century.

Black Triangle Silat pursues to exercise the adat and cultural antiquity of the Minangkabu kode pejuang, thus spreading the message of Silek Harimau.

“Mengikut haluan orang yang borpongaruh.” - “We walk in the footsteps of giants.”
