There is no other fighting art that is similar to the Minangkabau Harimau Pencak Silat style. Therefore, we can only recommend combat systems that are grounded in the same reality base fight concept as our Pencak Silat. Some of these may include Harimau Berantai Silat, Kuntao Silat, Kali Silat or Arnis, Krav Maga, Systema, or Muay Boran. But please note that these fighting systems are only as good as their instructors' teachings.
Black Triangle Silat Tribe hold yearly seminars in the UK during the summer lead by instructor Pendekar Scott McQuaid. Locations vary between Bristol, Luton and Essex.

Yes, courses can be arranged through Black Triangle Silat under the instruction of Pendekar Scott McQuaid. There are also Harimau Silat courses held in Ghana under instructor Maha Guru Richard de-Bordes.

Yes, we train with various blades—pisau, karambit, keris, golok—and we also use the tongkat or escrima sticks.
The Black Triangle Silat tribe does not have yearly gradings, nor does it use a colored belt system. There are only two ranks—teacher and student, or pendekar and pesilat.
No, we do not sell uniforms or any martial art related weapons at the moment. However, plans to make them available on our website in the future are being made. Please check back regularly or subscribe to our newsletter for updates.
